Next to it, a legend explains the symbols used to indicate Railroads, Boulevards, City Limits, Block Numbers, Subdivision Names, Parks & Cemeteries, U. S. & State Hwy. Markers, Hiways & Tunnels Under Construction, Manufacturing Plant Locations, Manufacturing Plant Property Lines, and Schools. Map depicts Houston sites and locales such as Memorial Park, Bellaire, Southside Place, River Oaks, River Oaks and Houston Country Clubs, Montrose, Southampton, Hermann Park, Rice Institute and Stadium, the Texas Medical Center, St. Thomas University, the University of Houston, Glenwood Cemetery, Buffalo and White Oak Bayous, and the Heights, among others. To the right of the map appears an index of Houston manufacturers, and below is a street index.

Verso features several inset photographic views and smaller maps. These include a photograph of the Houston Ship Channel and Turning Basin, and one of the Gulf Freeway. The inset maps include one of the Southwest Gulf Coast Showing Intracoastal Canal, a Map of Harris County, and a Houston Downtown Section with a corresponding index.
