Jan Janssonius (1588-1664) was a Dutch cartographer and publisher active in the 17th century. He was born in Arnhem and later moved to Amsterdam where he established his own publishing company. Janssonius is best known for his atlases, which were popular in Europe during the Dutch Golden Age. He was also a prolific publisher of maps and was known for his attention to detail and accuracy in his work. His maps and atlases continue to be highly valued by collectors and scholars today.
