Alaska! Awaiting popular appreciation of her varied resources and climatic conditions, "America's Last Frontier" is yet a virtually untouched storehouse of natural wealth. This map is dedicated to those men and women who are today moulding this rich northern empire.

As the Territory's main transportation link with the States, The Alaska Line serves Southeastern, Southwestern Alaska and the Alaska Peninsula throughout the entire year - these ports are never closed to navigation. The more northerly Bering Sea region is served during its navigable season, between June and October.

Salmon packing is Alaska's major industry. It is not indicated in color on the map, as it embraces Alaska's entire Southeastern and Southwestern coastline, including the Bristol Bay area.

Pictorial map of Alaska published in Seattle in 1936. Marks the routes of the Alaska Steamship Company and includes an inset map of inland Alaska. Additionally, map features an inset of the globe showing North America which marks the distances between Seattle and other major U. S. cities. Areas rich in natural resources such as gold, copper, oil, and whaling are shaded in orange.
