The county seat of Hondo is shown in the center, on the Southern Pacific Railway. The Hondo River drains several smaller creeks through the center of the county, while the larger Medina River cuts through the Northeastern corner. The county is bordered by Bandera, Bexar, Atascosa, Frio, and Uvalde counties.
