This map shows San Saba County, est. 1856. The county seat of San Saba is shown at center, on the bank of the San Saba River. The Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad passes through the town, on its path from east to west. The north and east boundaries of the county are defined by the Colorado River. San Saba county is surrounded by Brown, Mills, Lampasas, Burnet, Llano, Mason, and McCulloch counties.
