"The most popular salt water fishing spots in the vicinity of Port Arthur are along the jetties which extend out into the Gulf for miles. The water is usually in better condition along the Louisiana jetty. This is true because the louisiana jetty is the north jetty and the water here is better protected against prevailing southeast winds. This jetty has been proivded with a long concrete walk so that it is possible for the fisherman to walk up and down and fish in comfort."
